Testimonials
My son, D, has been having weekly music sessions with Sarah Jay for 3 years. As an adult who has autism the greatest endorsement D can give is that, each week, he is always very happy and motivated to go to his session. Sarah Jay knows how to use music to reach D – how to stimulate him so that he is engaged and learning all the time and how to calm him so that he can process what he is experiencing – all in just the right measure.
Mother
Sarah Jay is always sensitive to C’s changing moods and fluctuating abilities and seamlessly adapts the sessions to cater for these so that C always has a positive, stimulating and joyous experience! C is able to share his impressive knowledge of records and recording artists with her and to feel satisfaction that he too can make a contribution to the session.
Father
Sarah Jay often uses the medium of voice which M enjoys greatly. In addition it has a therapeutic effect – addressing some of his difficulties around communication (eg intonation/expression/meaning).
Sarah Jay always incorporates M’s interests into the sessions which promotes both confidence and enjoyment.
