The Art of Resilience
A multimedia exhibition by Sarah Jay Hawley
From the Furnace to the Flow
27 November to 4 December 2026
Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield S1 2BS
About the exhibition
Sculpture, collage, sound, words and photographs about what it takes to come through.
After a stroke, Sarah relearned to read. After throat cancer, she relearned to sing. The Art of Resilience follows that journey, from the heat of the furnace to the ease of the flow, and asks what creativity can do for all of us when life gets hard.
Alongside the exhibition, a week of morning workshops invites you to make, sing, write and breathe your own way through.
